Culture is a mythical Jamaican group of the history of the reggae. The title which truly made them know was their first attempt: “Two sevens cash” and goes back to 1977.

Thus Culture joined the large artists of the roots reggae who are Burning Spear, Bob Marley and others.

Burning Spears :

Burning Spear is one of the mythical figures of the reggaemusic. It crossed the times and remains like one of original the Reggaeman last.Burning Spear has grows at St-Year, the same commune which saw being born Bob Marley.

The Eighties and Nineties will see it leaving a great number of album, but that which will crown its career with a Grammy Awards in 1999 was “Calling rastafari”! ! ! Since Burning Spear makes the round the world tour to diffuse a message of peace, of unit and fraternity.

Tilmann Otto, alias Gentleman, 28 years, son of Pasteur, allured the rastas of the Caribbean as well as high-school pupils of Germany. In Germany, “Journey to Jah”, its last album in date, were sold with 150.000 specimens. Its vocation of singer, it discovered it eleven years ago, during holidays in Jamaica.

Leonard Howell, who has been described as the “first Rasta,” formed a commune which grew as large as 5,000 people at a place called Pinnacle, at St. Catherine in Jamaica

His true name is Robert “Bob” Nesta Marley. He was born in the small village of Nine Mile in Saint Ann Parish (Jamaica) , the February 6, 1945, of a white Jamaican father and a black Jamaican mother. After his father’s death, he moved to Kingston’s Trenchtown with his mother.
